―コーチ（講師）になろうと思ったきっかけは何ですか？

I have been working in education and human resources for over 20 years. I enjoyed teaching and sharing knowledge with my students, but when I moved into coaching, I could see faster progress and the clients could use the skills that they learned in a much shorter time. Providing real world skills was the key motivation for becoming a coach.

私は20年以上、教育や人事の分野で働いてきました。教えることや知識を共有することは楽しかったのですが、コーチングに携わるようになってからは、クライアントの成長がより早く見えるようになり、しかも学んだスキルをより短期間で実践に活かせることが分かりました。実社会で使えるスキルを提供できることが、コーチになろうと思った大きな動機です。

―コーチ（講師）として、どのようなときにやりがいを感じますか?

I get a sense of fulfillment when clients gain necessary skills they can use in the real world in a short amount of time. Being able to find a way that fits each individual client is very fulfilling.

クライアントが短期間で実社会で使える必要なスキルを身につけたときに、やりがいを感じます。また、一人ひとりに合った方法を見つけられたときも、とても充実感を覚えます。

―これから学びを始める人へ、どんなメッセージを伝えたいですか?

For a long time, I wanted to make certain improvements to myself, and I debated whether I should get a coach or not. There were many factors such as time and expense, but after I hired a coach, I saw more growth in 8 months than I had seen in years on my own.

私は長い間、自分自身を成長させたいと考えていて、コーチをつけるべきかどうか迷っていました。時間や費用など、さまざまな要素がありましたが、実際にコーチをつけてからは、8か月の間に、それまで何年も一人で取り組んでいたとき以上の成長を実感することができました。もし本気で変わりたい、成長したいと思っているのであれば、一人で悩み続けるよりも、思い切って一歩を踏み出すことをおすすめします。適切なサポートがあれば、成長のスピードは大きく変わります。
